2Late Tuesday for February 16, 2015

Where We Are

Saturday, February 20th, 2016: Cafe NOLA, Schenectady.  The best Cajun food in the Capital District. Everyone says so, including us.  And some wonderful music to go along with it.  Our first full show of the year will include at least two songs we’ve never done before (they’ve passed the Open Mic Test!), and some of your favorites. 6:30-9:00 PM.

Friday, February 26th, 2016: Emack and Bolio’s.  Warm drinks and cold ice cream. The way the weather has been, it might be in the 60s by the end of February.  More likely, you’ll want to curl up on the couch next to the fireplace and listen to the new hot music we’ve worked up during February.  Which February we aren’t saying! 7-10 PM.

Friday, March 11th, 2016: A Natural Way, Guilderland. Wearing of the Green?  You never know what we’re going to get at the open mic. Unless Neil is there; then you’ll get an old country song that Vicki hasn’t “thought of in years!”. You’ll also get wonderful food, a friendly atmosphere and more terrific music. Sign up anytime until 7:00 and we’ll get you in.  5:30-7:30 PM.

What We’re Up To

As we mentioned, it’s FAWM.  Mike is off to a good start with ten songs written already (well, number ten isn’t quite done, but he has time after 2Late Tuesday is out to finish it). The theory is the more songs you write, the more good songs you write, so we’re hopeful.

We are very happy for the Great Danes putting up 108 points on Maine, and Wisconsin knocking off #2 Maryland at their place.  (Basketball, for the uninitiated.)  Look for us at the Stony Brook game on Wednesday … it’s on ESPN3.com.

What We Like

We like A Natural Way, and Tiff and Lauren like us!

The Grammy for Song of the Year goes to Ed Sheeran for Thinking Out Loud.  Really nice lyrics, really good song.

Country Song of the Year is Traveller by Chris Stapleton. If Mike wears his pants really tight, maybe 2Late will do this song.  Really tight.  Really, really tight. (Did we ever mention that Mike hates tenors?)
